4K UHD HDR TVs - Ultimate list

Updated on Apr 8 2017

This list is a work in progress like our infamous 1080P 60 Fps PS4 games. Here I'm compiling the TVs fully compatible with HDR10 (native 10bit)by year and manufacturer at one place. This'll be super helpful to anyone looking for a fully compatible TV for PS4 Pro (and Xbox One S) HDR gaming. I'm updating this list often when new TV's are out. If you came across any, let me know as well to include it in the list. I'm also a compiling a list of  monitor with HDR10 in the near future (at this point only one monitor is 10bit (sharp), and it's not available to consumers yet.)
Update : New HDR 10 monitors list is in work. I'm making a big guide on it for easy comparison. What detailes you wanna see for comparison?

If you want me to add any particular details> let me know!

  1. Hi,
    Thanks for the great list!
I need to update my TV since the old one is not working that great.
The thing is i'm considering the LG B6 considering Price and what it offers. I will be gaming on it using PS4 PRO so it has to be good for both games and video.
Considering B7 is coming out soon do you think i should wait? i dont see much in term of improvement since B6 got firmware update which improve input lag considerably. Also i'm guessing B7 will be more expensive.
Any tips? I could also consider LCD but i dont find anyone as good in this price range. I dont like to gamble with edge lit LCD thanks to light bleed and the ones that are full array are more expensive then B6 or same level.
    Please help me decide :D

    Cheers.

    1. B7 upgrade seems marginal. Not worth picking up till end of the year 2017.Price will only match the current price of B6 at that time. It'll be expensive upon release. Better get B6.B6 input lag is decent. its' 28.5ms now :). I need to update it to match main guide.
There's new panasonic OLED Tv's EZ1000 and EZ950 announcement today as well.

    1. yeah, if you want 3D, E3 is a choice. None of the 2017 OLED TV has 3D. LG dropped it

    2. Tried the 3D at my friends house and it was not so bad :)
The stores are out of stock right now so i will have it once it comes to store. Seems to be a popular model :)

ps. why am i shown as unknown? i logged into my google account. Seems something is wrong with the chat.

    3. Yup. Its a popular 3d model. :) Don't know why its shown unknown. Change profile name?

  3. I think the profile name issue might be that i have 2 profiles at google. I do have a profile name but your page might not be able to select one of them and as a result shows unknown, just a guess.

    1. May be. I'm using default blogger comments system. They updated the platform 2 or 3 months back.Possibly a bug

    2. Perhaps.
Just got my LG E5 a few days ago and its really great. I'm still not used to the Movie setting where the light is lower and colors are much warmer but i think i get used to it. I played with some custom settings using ISF mode and its not bad. Then i change to Game mode and its goes to a much brighter color so its a bit strange changing between these 2 modes. I tend to watch movie and plays PS4 Pro and switch between them :D
Just wish there was a shortcut i could set on the remote to switch between my picture mode. Its a little bit of hassle to change picture mode i think. But the TV is just amazing and the input lag i keep hearing is not there. I play Nioh right now and its just great, no issue as far as i can tell.

  4. rtings.com shows the samsung ks8000 with a 4k HDR lag of over 37ms. Where are you getting 21.1ms from? Has there been a firmware update?

    1. Rtings shows 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 + 8 bit HDR as 37ms.
4k @ 60Hz + HDR input lag is 21.1ms. Former only important if you use it as a PC monitor with graphics card (HDR supported)

  5. can u also show the ratings when connected to a pc? :) thank you!

  6. Is there a way to male my in65hu7200f series from Samsung enable HDR in settings changes or something? Doesn't make sense to not offer HDR support when the 6300 series was made after mine?

    1. Usually on Samsung Tvs, you have to enable 'HDMI UHD colour' on under Expert setting for HDR to work

  7. I am NOT a gamer or PS4 user at all. I am interested in feature film viewing in HDR, preferably on a very large LED tv (80" or above). Do you have a similar list which notes which tv displays actually have a true 10-bit LCD panel, from 2016 & 2017 (not many are above 75" size) While Samsung had an 85" 4K tv (model UN85JU7100) in 2015, it does not meet HDR-10 specs, and seems to have an 8-bit panel. I do not want something which employs dithering. As you know, banding looks awful on the largest screens

    1. When it comes to kings size, 75" Sony Z9D is your best bet.
